DIY Name Blocks

One of my favorite DIY's in Bella's nursery are her name blocks! I've gotten some request on what supplies I used. So here they are!

Supplies:

~ 2 Kinds of Martha Stewart Paint - Michael's ( I used Ballet Slipper Pink and Rose Gold )
~ Paint Brush

Directions:

I painted three sides pink. Then after it dries, I placed the letter sticker on the middle side. Then I painted the other three sides including the letter side {total of four sides } rose gold. The pink sides were on the right and left side of the letter and the rose gold was on the top, front, bottom and back. After the paint dries, remove the stickers.

Enjoy!!

Bella's Dreamland

It's what I've dreamed of! Designing my baby girls nursery! So my inspiration....a dreamland. I filled the space with stars, unicorns, floating feathers, wings and anything else that had to do with the sky. As a little girl, I was always a dreamer and that part of me still exists. I hope my baby girl never stops being a dreamer.

So here's her dreamland.....

Camden's Updated Nursery!

I updated Camden's nursery a while back and never got around to posting photos! Now that we are expecting a baby girl, Camden will be moving to his big boy room and the girly stuff will enter! It breaks this mama's heart to change this room! I'm not sure I'm ready. I'm not ready for him to grow up or to have a big boys room! But, with only under two months until our sweet baby girl comes, it's time for me to start on her nursery.

Enjoy! ~T

DIY Ikea Build-Ins for under $500

With our baby boy growing so fast and  needing more storage for toys, we needed to come up with a solution! I wanted to utilize the space in his nursery better and doing built-ins along an utilized wall, was the perfect solution. However, hiring someone to come in and do custom built-ins would have cost thousand of dollars. With a little DIY and everyone's favorite go-to store, IKEA, we made our own for under $500.

Before....

After....

Ikea List:

We framed everything in molding from Home Depot and added in a return vent. We also added in some molding along the side to hide some spacing. You may not need to do this.

What you will need:
Base Molding and crown molding and the following from Ikea:
